Chloe Carter
Assisstant Psychologist

In 2021, Chloe completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (Counselling & Mental Health) at Southampton Solent University. She then went on to complete an MSc in Psychological Therapies and Mental Health at Queen Mary University of London in 2022.

Following her studies, Chloe worked as a Psychology Practitioner, gaining experience within a mental health recovery school supporting young people aged 10–16. In 2023, she moved into a Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision, where she completed training as a Senior Mental Health Lead. In this role, she designed and delivered bespoke interventions, led on safeguarding, and worked closely with families and external agencies, including CAMHS, to support young people aged 9–16 with complex needs.

Chloe has extensive experience supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences, alongside co-occurring difficulties such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma. Risk management has been a key aspect of her work, initially developed through her role with the SHOUT crisis text line in 2019 and further strengthened through managing high-risk situations in educational settings. She has also completed and delivered training on self-harm management and responding to mental health crises.

In 2026, Chloe achieved the Wellbeing Award for Schools, where she developed and implemented a whole-school wellbeing curriculum and tailored interventions to support students’ mental health. Her passion for supporting neurodivergent young people has led her to her current role as an Assistant Psychologist for Thrive.
