ADHD Assessments
ADHD assessments by experienced clinicians typically involve a comprehensive evaluation process that includes several key components including
- Clinical Interview,
- Behavioural Observations,
- Assessment questionnaires and well-evidenced tools such as Conners 4 / CAARS from individuals, parents / significant others and school or workplace
- Diagnostic Criteria: using Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) criteria for ADHD to determine whether the individual meets the necessary criteria for diagnosis.
- Neuropsychological Testing
- Feedback and Recommendations: The recommendations may encompass various treatment options, including behavioural therapy, medication, academic accommodations, and lifestyle modifications.
